Through the statistical analysis to the production data of end-point of BOF and the contents of molten iron, the factors affected end-point residual content of manganese of BOF and its law have been researched, which has illustrated that the end point carbon content of BOF and initial silicon content of molten iron are the key factors for end-point residual content of manganese and its yield rate. It’s disadvantageous for raising the basicity and FeO content of end slag of BOF to end-point residual content of manganese and its yield rate. Raising the manganese content of molten iron could increase the residual manganese content at end-point of BOF, but decrease its yield rate. The end temperature of molten steel in BOF is unessential to the yield rate of manganese in the condition of high catch carbon operation.
