Aimed to save energy and reduce emission, as well as decrease the production cost, energy consumption of converter procedure in the steelmaking plant No.4 of WISCO was analyzed according to practice. A serious of meas- ures were taken on process, technology, management, etc. An annual accumulative operational energy consumption of -5.43 kg/t was obtained, indicating that the technology of steel-making with negative energy consumption has reached the international first class level.
