Abstract:Vacuum can not only reduce onset temperature of metal oxide significantly,but also help volatilization of metallic phase after restored. Based on this,effect of temperature and carbon content on solid state reduction of Panzhihua ilmenite concentrate under vacuum conditions was investigated. Results showed that when system pressure was 0.05 Pa,weight loss of samples after reduction and metallization rate of iron increased with increase of temperature and carbon,and metal was more aggregation after reduction,titanium phase can be more easily transformated from Ti3O5 to Ti2O3 in reduction process.
