Abstract:Iso- distribution ratio diagram of sulfur forthe CaO- SiO2- FeO- MgO(10%)- MnO(7%) slag series are drawn by Factsage software, and the effects of FeO/SiO2 ratio, FeO content and basicity on sulfur distribution ratio are studied. The analysis results show when the CaO content is certain, the sulfur distribution ratio between slag and steel increases gradually with the increase of FeO/SiO2 ratio. Within the range of the converter steelmaking basicity, when alkalinity is certain, LS decreases with the increase of FeO content. And when the FeO content is constant, with the increase of basicity, LS increases in the range of low basicity and decreases in the range of high basicity.
