Design on rotating mechanism to a 16.5MV·A submerged arc furnace for Si-Ca-Ba alloy

Abstract:In the process that the submerged arc furnace (SAF) smelting silicon alloy, the SiO generated Si and SiC. The products coagulate to the harden material with high electrical conductivity, the harden material results in a decline in burden permeability; at the same time, the SiC with high melting point which is failure to decompose sinks down bottom when tapping, gradually the furnace bottom rising. In order to solve this problem, the rotation mechanism is added to the submerged arc furnace (SAF). Then, the harden material in furnace reduces, the burden permeability increases. The related blueprints were also finished via software.
