Abstract:According to the practical production, the heating processes were respectively determined on the basis of the characteristic of the typical high strength steels, such as HSLA, DP and high strength IF. The results showed that the performance consistency of HSLA could be improved by limiting the total heating time and time of slabs in high- temperature furnace section. The reason for scales on DP was analyzed by XRD, SEM with SiO2- FeO binary phase diagram, and it was showed that scales on DP can be eliminated by increasing the slab heating temperature to ensure the descaling temperature. The occurrence of strip breaking and piling up could be reduced by raising the inlet temperature in finish rolling and reducing the rolling speed through increasing the heating temperature.
