Abstract:The reason analysis of inclusion was studied by means of the scanning electron microscope and metallographic analysis, combined with field practical production process of automobile steel DC03 in Hanbao steel plant production. And the improvement measures had been put forward according to the reasons. The research results showed that: there were two types of inclusions in DC03 steel. One kind was the calcium aluminate inclusion, which was mainly caused by the falling off from the refractory or tundish slag entrapment during the process of steel making. Another kind was Al2O3 inclusion associated with Na, F elements, which was mainly caused by the mould powder entrapment. Therefore, optimizing mould powder composition, increasing steel weight in tundish during casting, improving the argon blowing pipeline in tundish and optimizing the tundish covering flux composition and the argon flow rate can achieved the better results and reduce the average rate of inclusion in low carbon steel from 0.47% to 0.32%.
