Abstract:The miniature modular cooling stave which is produced by casting unshaped refractories onto parallel arranged cooling water pipes is a new kind of cooling equipment used in blast furnace. The temperature field calculating model of the miniature modular cooling stave was establishedbased on ANSYS and by using this model, the temperature field of the miniature modular cooling stave was calculated under different working condition of gas temperature 1200- 1600℃ and water velocity 0.5- 2.5m/s when thermal conductivity of stave body, the water pipe material, the diameter of water pipe, the water pipe spacing, the stave thickness, the cooling water velocity and furnace temperature varied. The result shows that the miniature modular cooling stave can work safely under different furnace temperatures; the thermal conductivity of stave body, the water pipe spacing and stave thickness have a relatively great influence on the heat transfer performance of miniature modular cooling stave while the influence of water pipe material, the diameter of water pipe and water velocity is limited.
