Abstract:In 100t AC EAF steelmaking process the electric power and oxygen consumption per ton steel, tap to tap time were studied in this paper. The oxygen supply intensity for this EAF can reach up to 1.25 m3/(t8226;min) by revamping of equipment, at the same time improving the efficiency of oxygen and operational processes, the practice effect indecated that as 70 % hot metal charging process was adopted in 1st branch of Xingcheng Iron and Steel Co Ltd, the tap to tap time reduced to 45 min, the electric power and oxygen consumption can reach 98.7 kwh/t, 48.5 m3/t.
