Abstract:A rational water cooling system is the assurance for long campaign life of blast furnace.The cooling system of blast furnace was discussed from the heat transfer point of view, and the limitation of the heat transfer mathematical model for the blast furnace hearth was analyzed. According to the calculation results of a one-dimensional radial heat transfer model, increasing the cooling water flow rate can reduce cooling water temperature difference, but it has little effect on the cooling intensity of blast furnace hearth. For the given hearth structure, the heat output from the hearth mainly depends on the temperature and the flow state of the hot metal. Analysis of the cooling water for blast furnace hearth plays an important role in preventing the nucleate boiling and film boiling by increasing critical heat intensity, and giving out the judge condition of the crack occurrence of brick lining.
