Abstract:The mode of BF/BOF interface determines mode of the steel plant. By comparing and analysing overseas and domestic different modes, the mode of BF/BOF interface for new generation large-scale steel plant was selected: molten iron→ladle→desulphurization by KR in ladle→desiliconization and dephosphorization in converter→decarbonization and calefaction converter. The order, equipment and method of hot metal pretreatment were computed and analyzed with metallurgical thermodynamics and kinetics. Rationality of the new mode was validated combining with the running cost of hot metal pretreatment.
