Utilization of Dust From 400 Series Stainless Steel for Compound Injection to Pre-Dephosphorization and Recycle Chrome

Utilization of dust from 400 series stainless steel for compound injection to dephosphorize and recycle of chrome in hot metal was studied. Possibility for recycle of chrome was calculated and the recovery of chrome was high. Compared with single injection, compound injection using dust results in a lower amount of silicon, reduction of 15mins of dephosphorization and reduction of the lime and Fe2O3 scale needed.
