Abstract:The problems existing in the waste heat power generation of the 435 m2 sintering machine of Handan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. are analyzed. It is pointed out that the air leakage rate of the ring cooler is high and the residual heat recovery rate is low, which is the key factor that restricts the operation effect of the waste heat power generation system. Through the water seal modification of the ring cooler, the full seal transformation of upper flue gas hood, the direct heat collection of the material receiving point, the moving forward of the hot spot, the optimization of the waste heat air volume, and the improvement of the sealing material, the waste heat generation rate is increased by 25%, the air leakage rate of the ring cooler is reduced from 35% to 5%. When the annual new power generation is 14.4 million kW·h, the additional efficiency is more than 800 million yuan. The results show that it is an important means to improve the residual heat generation rate by strengthening the seal of the ring cooler and optimizing the air volume configuration.
