Abstract:Through the ore powder used in the existing production of a pellet plant, the pellets with different MgO mass fraction were obtained by ore blending. A series of experimental schemes and testing methods were used to find out the MgO mass fraction of pellets under the optimal compressive strength and the metallurgical properties. And the law of the compressive strength and metallurgical properties of the pellets with different MgO mass fraction was also studied. The test results showed that the compressive strength of pellets produced with the MgO mass fraction of 0.5% was the strongest, which decreased with the increase of MgO mass fraction. When the mass fraction of MgO was 0.5%, the degree of reduction was the highest, Reaching 75.59%. And with the increase of MgO mass fraction, the reduction degree of pellets decreased. When the MgO mass fraction was 1%, the low-temperature reduction pulverization rate was the largest. With the increase of MgO mass fraction, the low-temperature reduction pulverization rate of pellets increased first and then decreased. When the MgO mass fraction was 1%, the softening start temperature was the highest, the droplet temperature range was the narrowest, and the droplets were the best. With the increase of MgO mass fraction, the softening start temperature of the pellets rose first and then decreased, and the droplet temperature range was first narrowed and then widened.
