Abstract:In order to study the application of boron-containing concentrate in pellet, the characteristics and application methods of boron-containing concentrate in pellet were studied through a series of experiments. Research results showed that the micromorphology of boron-containing concentrate was suitable for pelletizing, and the green ball performance index was high. Duo to the obvious endothermic reaction between 550 and 700 ℃, the compressive strength of preheated pellets decreased with the increase of the proportion of boron-containing concentrate. It was necessary to increase the preheating temperature and prolong the preheating time to reduce the ring formation of rotary kiln which was caused by the fragile preheated pellets. The compressive strength of boron-containing pellets decreased with the increase of the proportion of boron-containing concentrate. It was necessary to select a suitable roasting system according to the proportion of boron-iron concentrate to ensure the quality of pellets. The metallurgical properties of boron-containing pellets were excellent.
