Numerical simulation and optimization for flow field in SCR denitrification reactor for sintering gas

Abstract:SCR is recognized as the best technology for sintering flue gas denitrification. The NOx reduction efficiency and ammonia slip rate are mainly determined by the homogeneous of the flue gas velocity distribution in reactor. In order to study the effect of deflector and mixer on the flow field in the reactors, the numerical simulation was applied to calculate the flow field. And the velocity contours obtained by the calculation of the reactor on the condition of empty tower and different internal construction were compared. The results showed that putting deflector into flue pipe bends and mixer into reactor body was beneficial to the flow field and had a positive impact on the denitration reaction.
