Abstract:The two regenerative walking beam furnaces of No.1 steel making and rolling mill of Hesteel Tangsteel had some problems such as high gas consumption and the bad heating quality of the slab. By reducing the designed output, optimization of the heating system, adjusting the heating proportion and the heating load of each zone of the furnaces, and reconfiguring the air, gas and exhausted gas pipelines of the furnaces, the precision measurement of the medium was achieved. The use of barriers and honeycombs in the regenerative burners was increased to stabilize the regenerative combustion process. The level 1 control program was modified, to solve the problem of frequent adjustment of the existing control system and realize the level 1 automatic combustion control combustion control system of the furnace. Compared with the pre- modification, the heating quality of slabs was improved, the oxidation of the slabs was further reduced, and the consumption of tonnage steel was reduced by 25%, which provided a reference for the technical upgrading of similar reheating furnace.
