Abstract:Nitrogen oxides(NOx)in sintering flue gas is one of the main pollutants endangering human health and the environment. In view of the fact that most sintering plants of steel industry were currently not equipped with denitration facilities, it is urgent to remove NOx from sintering flue gas. However, It is not appropriate to widely use the denitration technologies in coal- fired power plants such as Selective Catalytic Reduction(SCR)and Selective Non- Catalytic Reduction (SNCR)for the removal of NOx from sintering flue gas, which have the characteristics of low temperature, high sulfur dioxide concentration and low NOx concentration. Several oxidation absorption methods using chloric acid, sodium chlorite, mineral chameleon, hydrogen peroxide and ozone respectively were introduced. The oxygen absorption denitration technology principles and technical characteristics of these methods were expounded. The feasibility analysis using these methods for denitration from sintering flue gas were also performed. It was concluded that oxidation absorption methods using hydrogen peroxide, ozone or yellow phosphorus were applicable.
