Abstract:In order to improve the qualification rate of molten steel temperature in the tundish and decrease the casting speed change, according to the current equipment condition in Shouqin Company, the reasons for the low temperature stability of the molten steel in the tundish were analyzed. The effects of refining cycle, casting section, process route and ladle condition on the temperature loss of molten steel were studied. And the temperature changes in the tundish baking process, the start of continuous casting and casting process were summarized. By increasing the turnover of the high quality tundish, standardizing the cooperation, using more high temperature ladles, precisely controlling the end temperature in refining, and keeping the temperature loss of molten steel stable in continuous casting tundish, the temperature qualification rate of the molten steel in the tundish was raised to above 92%, and the internal quality of casting billet was improved to some extent.
