Abstract:In view of the problems of web off-centre in limited specification H-beam of HW150 mm×150 mm,3D thermal-mechanical coupled simulation of rough rolling process was accomplished by FEM method. Then based on the simulation results,metal flow,plastic strain and temperature were analyzed,and according to the deformation feature and the size of each pattern rolled piece,the cause of the defect was found. The groove was optimized and verified by the finite element method. Finally,the practice was carried out and the defect was excluded. The results showed that the finite element simulation can help to analyze the metal forming in the rolling process,especially for the deformation law and defects in the section steel rolling process,which has a high reference value and guiding significance.
