Abstract:The appropriate research program was formulated according to the existing problems in the production of sulfur free cutting steel XY1215 and technical difficulties of smelting process and continuous casting process brought about by the steel properties. The control points of the smelting and continuous casting process for the sulfur free cutting steel production are obtained by fractional incomplete deoxidation, which can ensure the precise control of the proper activity oxygen content and sulfur content in steel. At the same time, By adjusting the casting machine oscillation parameters and precision, optimizing casting and cooling parameters and improving the morphology of inclusions, the problems of deep and disordered oscillation mark on the slab surface were solved and the slab surface quality, macro quality and inclusions of the slab were improved.
