An automobile frames steel 610 L was melt in vacuum intermediate frequency induction with the pre-set chemical composition, Forged into a billet in 130mm thickness, using rolled into gauge 10 mm of steel plate with 12 pass according to the program developed on experimental rolling mill with the maximum rolling force 3 500 kN. The results from the plate test show that the chemical composition of steel plate conforms to the principles that pre-set low-carbon high-manganese micro alloys; the tensile strength of steel reaches more than 610MPa; the elongation is less than 24%; there are bainite microstructure and the index 11 of grain size. The composition of the steel and key point of rolling process were affirmed by current trial.
