Abstract:Simulation experiments for hot metal desulfurization in laboratory with impulse and rotary stirringinjection method were carried out and compared with existing oneway stirring. Two impulse stirring methods were used . One is alternative rotation with positive and opposite directions and another is rotationstoprotation mode with one direction. The results show that the stirring mode with impulse and rotation, compared with oneway stirring, has following advantages: the mixing time in liquid bath is remarkably shortened; the particles entrained into the bath surface are increased and the residence time of bubble injected in liquid bath is doubled.
