Abstract:In order to clarify the temperature distribution of copper slag under different slag type slow cooling system, a 3D model is established based on ANSYS finite element software to simulate the thermal field. The results show that the copper slag temperature of flash furnace and converter decreases slowly in the early stage, and then the temperature decreasing speed increases. The temperature decreasing speed reaches the maximum within 2 h before water cooling, and then the decreasing speed slows down. At the initial 0 h, the temperature difference of the slag ladle reaches 851.51 ℃, at this time, the slag ladle bears the maximum thermal stress, which is not conducive to the service life of the slag ladle, so it is necessary to preheat the slag ladle. In the initial 2 h of water slow cooling, the temperature of copper slag decreases rapidly. In order to make the copper particles gather fully, it is necessary to slow down the cooling rate. In the water slow cooling stage of 2-50 h, the copper slag has solidified, and the cooling rate should be increased to reduce the time of slag slow cooling and save the production cost.
