Abstract:Reducing the force on equipment in now available technics, which is one of effective method of improving product quality and prolonging longevity of rolling mill key component and part, such as bearing. The rolling procedure of cross wedge rolling in the case of die void and not was simulated adopting Finite element method (FEM). Base on it, effect of die void on rolling force was analyzed in detail. The results show that die void favors reducing rolling force in certain range of shrinkage ratio of section. The result provides important theoretical basis for reasonably designing die of cross wedge rolling and improving pressure on rolling mill.
