Experiment on metallurgical properties of blast furnace burden containing metalized pellets

Abstract:Based on the properties of metalized pellets and other iron bearing materials, the influence of different ratios of metalized pellets on blast furnace smelting process was investigated by means of melting-dropping experiments. The results showed that metalized pellets had the characteristics of high iron grade, high metallization rate, high reducibility, high RDI+3.15 and excellent softening dropping property. When metalized pellets were added in blast furnace burden, the softening dropping property got better. And the appropriate ratio of metalized pellets was 20%, considering that adding metalized pellets could reduce the influence of coke rate on blast furnace.
