Numerical Simulation of Temperature Field in Tundish for Round Continuous Casting

Abstract:The original, U and Y types of blocking wall are numerically simulated in this paper. Three conclusions are drawn from the results: the originaltype is unreasonable, temperature difference between midoutlet and side outlet is large. Utype blocking wall causes better temperature field, however, it still has some weakness. Ytype blocking wall reaches better temperature field and less temperature decrease, and is the reasonable form of blocking wall in tundish.
