Abstract:Through the experimental study, the improvement of the steelmaking technology in controlling the manganese mass fraction in the production of the low manganese steel in Shougang Corporation Qian′an Steel Company was introduced in detail. On the basis of the technicians′ continuous exploration and trial and the analysis and comparison of the experiments and data in the different techniques, the process route and operation methods for stably producing the steel containing manganese with the mass fraction of less than 0.050% were obtained. By choosing the condition of the molten iron and the BOF slagging system, optimizing the time and the slag amount for pouring the primary slag in the converter double slag process, determining the reasonable lance height in the blowing process, applying the slag splashing technology, and avoiding the addition of the manganese alloy of the previous heat, the manganese mass fraction in the liquid steel after tapping was reduced from less than 0.063% to less than 0.040%, and the process ability of Cpk in the production of the steel containing manganese with the mass fraction of less than 0.05% reached 1.31, which met the requirement of the low manganese steel.
