Abstract:Based on the qualitative research to the microstructure and mechanical tissue properties of hot-rolled raw edge, its impact on the rolling edge crack and the trimming quality in the process of cold rolling were described. For the organization that has uneven or mixed crystal grain size, the mechanical properties have a significant difference between transverse and longitudinal, which leads to strip edge crack caused by uneven metal flow in the transverse and longitudinal direction in the rolling process, and can lead to strip broken accident when serious. A new idea for analyzing the quality of cutting edge and the reason of strip broken in the cold rolling process are pointed out.
