Abstract:Based on a plate/strip combined plant of stainless steel and carbon steel production, slabs carry-out rhythm and production capacity were discussed and obtained the optimal configuration of heating furnace quantity was 3. In order to ensure high efficiency in slab casting-rolling process, the furnace scheduling problem was studied by establishing a mathematical model based on improved genetic algorithm to obtain optimized scheduling scheme. The results show that after configuration and operation optimization for the heating furnace process, the average waiting time for slabs outside the reheating furnace could be reduced at least 20min with an increase of over 8% in slab hot charging ratio.
