Abstract:The stability of the cooling water has a vital role for blast furnace longevity. This article designs orthogonal text to study on blast furnace with soft water temperature, pH and conductivity which affect the corrosion of the carbon steel and red copper, and their impact has been analyzed. For carbon steel, pH and conductivity are insignificant, while the temperature is significant. Temperature is the main factor which leads to corrosion in carbon steel. For copper, none of the factors including temperature, pH and conductivity is significant, and soft water has nearly no corrosion effect to copper.
