This paper introduces the effects of chemical composition, mechanical properties, segregation and sorbite ratio, inclusions, oxidation and decarbonization, geometric dimensions and surface quality and other factors on the product quality of high carbon wire rod C72DA, contrasts and analyzs the product quality status of domestic manufacturers. The results show that the control range of chemical composition on the wire rod is narrow, tensile strength fluctuates a little, structure segregation degree less than or equal to level two, sorbite ratio more than or equal to 80%, the size of most inclusions is below 10μm, the number of inclusions less than or equal to 130 in 100mm2, but it exists the Al2O3 brittle inclusions less than 3μm, the layer is smooth and zero defect, no decarburized layer, the mass fraction of oxide skin is 02%, the equality of geometric dimension is better. Fully satisfy the production requirement of the enterprise which produce bead wire and hose wire.
