Abstract:In the production process, the double stand levelling unit has unstable elongation and even turbulence, which not only directly affects the mechanical properties of the finished strip, but also reduces the stability of the rolling process, and may even lead to the problem of broken strips and stacking steel, so it has become a major bottleneck problem that plagues levelling rolling. Therefore, a 1 420 mm double stand levelling unit is taken as the research object. Based on the specific expressions of the elongation rate, and the detailed analysis of the possible factors affecting the elongation beating such as rolling pressure, tension and rolling speed, the main factors causinge the elongation beating are locked from the actual rolling conditions, the causes and mechanisms of the beating are studied, and the corresponding treatment measures are put forward, which have been applied to the production practice and achieved good results. The elongation beating of more than 20% due to the leveling process has dropped from 15% before the technology application to 0.215%, which basically eliminates the problem of the strip breakage caused by the elongation beating.
