Quality Evaluation and Improvement Measures of Continuous Casting Slab in Benxi Steel

Abstract:According to the quality problems of continuous casting slab existed in Benxi Iron and Steel Group Co., the content, shape and chemical component of non-metal inclusions and the gas content in the slab of Q235 Grade were analyzed and measured by large sample electrolysis, metallographic analysis and SEM spectrum et al. Based on those results, an integrated evaluation for slab quality is carried out, and some improvement measures for slab quality are put forward accordingly, which will provide a theoretical gist for improving the slab quality in Benxi Steel.
