Abstract:The mechanism of Na2SO4 electrolytic pickling was investigated, the factors of electrolytic pickling, such as current density, electrolyte concentration and electrolyte temperature, were analyzed, and an optimal electrolytic pickling process was proposed. Experimental results showed the optimal processing as following, 15% Na2SO4 was selected at 75 ℃,the current density was set to 4 A /dm2, the time of cathode’s pickling was as twice as the time of anode’s pickling, which was 10 seconds. Under those conditions, the surface oxide films could be effectively removed from the 304 stainless steel.
