Study on Life Cycle Inventory of ElectroGalvanized Steel Sheet

Abstract: 〖WT5”HZ〗Abstract:〖WT5”BZ〗This research covers all production steps of electrogalvanized steel sheet from raw materials to finished products. The contents of analysis on life cycle inventory (LCI) include significant inputs and outputs in whole steel production route. Over 50 environmental burdens including materials and energy inputs, air and water emissions, and solid wastes were studied. The LCI modeling and software of the electrogalvanized steel sheet production were developed. The LCI data of the products in process of production (such as, coke making, sintering, BF iron making, BOF, hot rolling, pickling, cold rolling, annealing, and electrogalvanizing) and energy system (such as, power plant, water plant, oxygen plant, and steam boiler) were calculated. These data can be used to communicate with industry stakeholders, and assist the improvement of environmental policy. These results also can be as subsequent basis for a full LCA.
