Abstract:The effects of powder injection in refining ladle through slit brick were investigated by choosing NaCl granule simulated as powder in water model. The results show that reducing the slit width can improve yield of powder injection. Yield of slit powder injection was higher than round orifice powder injection. Yield of eccentric bottom powder injection and side powder injection were higher than centerbottom powder injection. In bottom powder injection through slit brick, yield of powder increased firstly, and then decreased with the gas velocity increasing, and in which there was a gas velocity to be the best for yield of powder.
