Abstract:The change of nitrogen in the production process of pipeline steel J55-1 was introduced, and the main reasons for the high nitrogen content in the finished product were pointed out through the analysis of the theory and the production data. The effects of the silicon content in hot metal, converter bottom blowing gas and flow, terminal carbon, converter blowing, alloying sequence after converter, LF refining processing and protective casting on the nitrogen content in molten steel were systematically studied. The production process was optimized and the improvement measures were put forward, which achieved remarkable results in the production practice of pipeline steel J55-1. And compared with the previous one, the nitrogen content in the finished steel J55-1 was greatly reduced by an average of 0.001 18%.
