Research and development of Ti-microalloyed cold-formed structural steel hollow sections

Abstract:Based on the structure and property requirements of C350 cold-formed structural steel hollow sections, the grade of Ti-microalloying composition design process was determined, combined with the FTSR process. It had been establishing the rational TMCP process by determining the composition of the continuous cooling transformation curve, and achieving effective control of Si content by optimizing BOF→LF→FTSC process. It shows that the final product obtained the optimum structure, surface quality and cold-formed performance by undertaking physico-chemical properties test. This is a beneficial attempt for further promotion of ti-microalloyed steel production process.
