Abstract:Two kinds of ores (Mauritania ore and Brazilian iron ore) which have poor performance of single firing are used to substitute for Brazilian fine ore. Mixed ore mineral sintering principle gives play to the strong points of mineral sinter and avoids its shortcomings. Though the analysis of the parameters of sinter pot test and comparison of sintering performance, the conclusions are obtained combining with the mineral phase analysis. When the mixed ore takes the place of Brazil powder, sinter productivity and production yield increase, but the overall fuel consumption shows a trend of decrease and the tumbler index has no trend of decrease. In addition to the increase of some coarse mosaic structure, replacing Brazilian fine ore has little effect on mineral phase on basis of mineralogical analysis. It is feasible for taking the mixed ore instead of Brazilian fine ore in sinter pot test.
