Abstract:Owing to the throttling losses, the large energy consumption for temperature and pressure reducer heating weakened energy- saving advantages of cogeneration. For small cogeneration, industrial steam heating was used to drive the back- pressure steam turbine and substitute for electric power to drive the feed- water pump, which strengthened safe reliability for water supply, reduced power consumption, achieved cascade utilization of energy and decreased the losses in energy conversion. Back- pressure steam turbine could adjust the water supply and pressure by means of variable speed regulation. Therefore, adjustment for the pressure and flow of water supply did not depend on regulating valve any more in the case of varying load of the steam turbine being, which avoided huge throttling losses. The electric energy production increased by 75kW·h on the condition that the steam flow provided by the temperature and pressure reducer turbine was 2t/h. The technology,for which the payback period of equipment investment was short, had been matured and exhibited obvious energy saving.
