Theoretical Analysis and Application of Thermoplastic Finite Element

Abstract:The analog computation of plate rolling process was undertaken using the thermoplastic finite element, including parameters such as rolling force, rolling torque, roll shape, plate shape, etc. Thermoplastic finite element can calculate the roll shape, plate shape, bending force, place of tandem roller and reduction schedule to the best level, thus reach the target of enhancing the material yield and the product quality. Thermoplastic finite element is one type of 3dimentional, elastic plastic finite element whose constitutive equation is obtained by testing data. It uses calculations such as work hardening and drawing effect and can get accurate results.
