Analyzing the Influence of Boron on the Mechanical Properties of Steel

By means of tensile test and metallographic test, the paper discusses the influence of boron on the mechanical properties of steel. The results show that the boron reduces the yield strength and tensile strength of steel, but the elongation has no change. The boron increases the grain size, which is mainly reason of the yield strength of steel reducing.
