Mathematical models are core technology and key technology of steel industrial process control. The establishment and application of high-availability, high precision mathematical model is the technology base that steel industry continually develops and manufactures the steel varieties needed by our development, continuously improves product quality, maintains stable production and energy conservation, reduces costs, thus improves the overall competitiveness. The mainstream of iron and steel industry process control mathematical model remains the process technology model and model of adaption (self-study). This paper summarizes application situation of steel industrial process control mathematical model in China and suggestions are proposed.
