Abstract:The effect of top slag composition on CaO-SiO2-Al2O3 inclusion composition was studied by controlling the condition of deoxidization and composition of top slag in experimental furnace in which the tire cord steel was melt by 45 steel and heavy rail steel. As a result, The Al2O3 content in the inclusion and Als in steel increased with the Al2O3 content of top slag increasing while the basicity of top slag was within 0.8~1.2. Plastic CaO-SiO2-Al2O3 inclusion existed while the Al2O3 content of top slag was below 10%. The composition of CaO-SiO2-Al2O3 inclusion can be controlled within the plastic area by controlling the condition of Si、Mn deoxidization and the composition of top slag.
