Abstract:Based on the coke dry quenching (CDQ) waste heat power generation system in an independent coking plant, the waste heat recovery efficiency of CDQ chamber was calculated and analyzed by thermal balance analysis method and exergy balance analysis method to improve the quality of waste heat recovery. The thermal efficiency and exergy efficiency of CDQ chamber system in actual condition were 79.59% and 84.81% respectively, which were lower than 81.75% and 89.06% of design condition. The exergy loss of internal heat transfer for CDQ chamber was 9.88% in actual condition, which was higher than 5.46% in design condition. The analysis shows that the coke burning rate is the main factor affecting the exergy efficiency of dry quenching furnace system, and the exergy loss of internal heat transfer for dry quenching chamber reduces the waste heat recovery efficiency of dry quenching chamber. Optimizing the composition, content and flow rate of circulating gas is the main measure to improve the energy recovery efficiency of CDQ chamber system.
