Abstract:As the main medium of activated carbon desulphurization, activated carbon is adsorbed and regenerated in the flue gas purification system, which requires high mechanical strength of activated carbon. In order to characterize the wear resistance of activated carbon scientifically and appropriately, the drum method, ball milling method and ball- on- disk method were compared. From the view of engineering application, the drum method is selected as the testing method for the wear resistance of activated carbon for flue gas desulfurization and denitrification. Further, it was proved that by adjusting test parameters, the obtained optimal wear time and the screen mesh size were 60 min and 5.6 mm, respectively.
