Abstract:Aiming at the serious burning loss of activated carbon activation process, a multi-tube external heating activation furnace scheme was proposed, in which flue gas and material were separated from each other. By comparing the equivalent material particles to porous media A and fluid B, the difficulty of stacking material and heat transfer simulation of carrier gas fluid was overcome. A numerical model of the thermal process of activation furnace was established. The distribution of flow field and temperature field in the activation furnace was predicted by means of simulation, and the feasibility of the new scheme was verified. Furthermore, the orthogonal test method and simulation model were used to optimize the design of the new scheme, and the optimal design parameters were obtained. The optimized results showed that the outlet temperature increased by 13.7% compared with that before optimization.
