Abstract：A new style hoisting device of steel coil was introduced in detail，aiming at the problem of the inconsistency of the standard heights between the exit of hot strip mill and storehouse of finished steel coil and problem of limited space of the mill exit. The device had a characteristic of simple structure，small space occupation，and easy online repair. When designing the device based on the feature of the continuous production process of the mill line，the aim was to make the device structure simple and the operation long and stable. After the device was put into use，it was stable operation within a year until the maintenance，which ensured the stable running of the production line. Meantime，the device can have a desirable application prospect.
