Effect of annealing process on recrystallization microstructure and texture in DC04 automotive plate

Abstract:The effect of annealing process on the microstructure and texture feature was studied by the laboratory simulation of annealing process, in which the CSP process DC04 cold- rolled plate was used as the raw material and the OM, EBSD and ODF technologies were applied. The results showed that the annealing microstructure of DC04 cold- rolled automotive plate was ferrite and a small amount of cementite. The recrystallization started after annealing 1h at 575℃ and became fully after annealing 1h at 730℃. As the same time, with the extension of annealing time, the ferrite grain was grow up. For different pressure rate of DC04 cold- rolled plate and annealing plate, its main texture was typical in the BCC metal α(<110>//RD) fiber texture and γ(<111>//ND) fiber texture. With the increase of pressure ratio, {111} < 112 > texture orientation of density was significantly greater than {111} < 110 > texture orientation of density. After annealing at 730℃, the texture of the annealed plate with 67% low pressure rate had weak {001} < 110 > orientation. But as the rate of pressure increased, the texture gradually disappeared, and the strong {111} < 112 >, {111} < 110 > texture was formed. The increase of deformation was beneficial to obtain the good {111} texture and suppress the generation of bad {001} texture, which can improve the deep- drawing performance of DC04.
